Isabel Perez awoke from a coma on Feb. 11, five days after she was shot. "She did have a very severe gunshot wound to the brain and I'm very impressed with the fact that she got here alive. Credit for that goes to the paramedics," Dr. Ken Winston said, a pediatric neurosurgeon.
