Letter From Terri's Brother
Week of August 25, 2008

Dear Friends,

Since our last month’s newsletter we continue to receive a constant number of phone calls from loved ones looking for help.

It is hearing the anxiety in their voices to find help for their family members that clearly tells us that we must continue to fight against this alarming “quality-of-life” attitude that – sadly – seems to be only growing in our culture today.

Everyday in our nation people die of deliberate dehydration and other often-disguised forms of euthanasia. And with all of our health care problems and confusion that exists among the general public, it seems to me that this issue is only going to get much worse.

We are doing our best to make a difference and we have been successful in saving innocent lives and assisting families in crisis. Please know how much we appreciate your support because it allows us to continue to fight for so many of these families that really feel they have no where else to turn for help.

This Saturday on America’s Lifeline!

This Saturday, August 30 on America’s Lifeline our guest will be attorney and award winning author, Wesley J. Smith.

Not yet available Attorney Smith is a committed defender of the equality and sanctity of human life. His book Forced Exit: The Slippery Slope from Assisted Suicide to Legalized Murder a broad-based criticism of the assisted suicide/euthanasia movement was published in 1997. His most current book is Culture of Death: The Assault on Medical Ethics in America, a warning about the dangers of the modern bioethics movement.

Attorney Smith has also testified as an expert witness in front of federal and state legislative committees, and has counseled government leaders internationally about matters of mutual concern.

You can also visit Wesley’s Smith’s blog, Secondhand Smoke: Your 24/7 Bioethics Seminar commenting on issues involving assisted suicide/euthanasia, bioethics, human cloning, biotechnology, and the dangers of animal rights/liberation.

Remember that America’s Lifeline (aired every Saturday at 3 pm ET on 860 WGUL TALK RADIO) is also streamed live via the internet and that all of the programs are archived, so if you missed any of these past programs you can listen, or download any of them by clicking here.

Can You Find Three Friends to Help Spread The Word?

As always, forwarding our updates to friends and family helps to spread the word . . . So if you could please share our info with your loved ones by clicking on the “forward this message to friends and family” link on this newsletter we would greatly appreciate it.

On behalf of my family, we would like to sincerely thank you for your continued prayers and support. And please keep all of the families in the need of help in your prayers, as well.

Sincerely,
Bobby Schindler

Terri's Death: 'An Atrocity'

By Dr. Michael Egnor

Yale neurologist Dr. Steven Novella and I have been involved in a vigorous discussion of the mind-brain problem in science and philosophy. There are real-world implications of our understanding of the mind, and nowhere are these implications more important than in the medical management of people with severe brain damage.
